Support for Consensus Statement
PRESS RELEASE
Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) is proud to announce that we have become a signatory to
the Australian BPD Foundation National Consensus Statement: By, With and for People Impacted by BPD.
The National Consensus Statement advocates for everyone living with Borderline Personality Disorder
(BPD), and people in their support networks, being able to access timely and equitable treatments and
supports from an appropriately skilled workforce. It embraces a ‘no wrong door’ approach to services for
people living with BPD, enabling them to access compassionate, appropriate, and strengths-based
supports, regardless of complexity or their personal background.
“Too many people, including people living with BPD, are missing out on holistic, strengths-based treatments and supports that can assist them to live a good life.”
