No Action 12 Months On

On 16 August 2024, the Unmet Needs Report revealed that 460,000 Australians with moderate to high mental health needs are missing out on essential community-based psychosocial supports.

These supports are critical for helping people live safely and well in their communities. Yet, 12 months later, governments have taken no concrete steps to address the gap.

MIFA is calling for urgent action to expand services, co-design solutions with lived experience, and commit to fully closing the gap by 2030.
