Over the past four years, MIFA has been advocating to the Commonwealth Government to address the significant underinvestment in community mental health services and psychosocial supports for people with severe and complex mental illness.

Whilst the introduction of the NDIS has resulted in significant funding for people with psychosocial disability to date, the new system architecture continues to create a funding and service system gap for people with severe mental illness who are not eligible for the NDIS.
