Parliamentary Friends of Mental Health Dinner

Elevating Mental Health as a Fundamental Human Right

The Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) is honoured to announce the upcoming Parliamentary Friends of Mental Health Dinner, set to take place on Tuesday 26 March 2024 at Australian Parliament House, Canberra. This distinguished event will gather esteemed federal politicians and their advisers, sector partners, sponsors, members of the MIFA network, and leading voices in mental health advocacy to underscore the importance of mental health as a fundamental human right.

The Parliamentary Friends of Mental Health Dinner is a call to action for politicians, policy makers, government, and mental health advocates to prioritise mental health as a non-negotiable element of human rights.

“In a world where mental health issues are increasingly prevalent, recognising and treating mental health with the same urgency and seriousness as physical health is both necessary and a moral imperative”
Tony Stevenson, MIFA National CEO
