Out From The Mist: 2022 competition opens 1st July

MIFA is proud to be part of Out From The Mist for the fourth year.

Entries open on Friday 1st July and for the first time entries will be open to music, vocal and instrumental
The musical judge for this year is Nadeah who is an Australian-born musician, performing in Paris currently.

Supporting the event again are Photography judges Steve Parish & Laura Waters. Joining them for the first time is Kris Anderson in photography and Michael McMahon in Short Film.

The competition is open to photographers, audio producers, and short filmmakers exploring your own, or someone close to you, experiences of a mental illness.

You don’t need to be a professional or hold any qualifications to enter, all stories are valid and welcome.
