MIFA will welcome National, State, and Territory stakeholders to its Mental Health Reforms Roundtable on 1 June 2022 in Brisbane.

TIME TO ACT: Is a national psychosocial support advocacy alliance campaign roundtable event that will showcase a range of presentations from leaders in the fields of lived experience leadership, service mapping, service design, social determinants of health, language, and building narratives, and will involve several collaborative workshops for delegates.

This roundtable brings a range of different national and State and Territory stakeholders together who have key roles to play in the development of a National Psychosocial Support Program to address the gap in psychosocial supports.

Delegates will hear from Prof Jennifer Smith-Merry, Dr Danny Rock, Assoc Professor Nicola Hancock, Professor Lisa Brophy and Lived Experience Leader Dr Debbie Hamilton to name a few.

MIFA and all members of the alliance are looking for strong leadership from governments to address the gap in psychosocial supports for the 150,000 Australians who are missing out on vital supports in the community. Greater investment is needed to provide a national program of psychosocial supports so that all Australians with severe and complex mental illness can access mental health services in their local community to help them live a better life.
